Description
Born from a wound, it rests at the heart of the Aquilaria, where the injury becomes a promise; gradually, time infiltrates the scar, the resin thickens, the fire purifies: from this metamorphosis is born the oudh, an olfactory black gold, a living memory of a transfigured pain; Ode to Oudh is a declaration of love to this sacred material: a burnt, dense wood, revered for centuries in the temples of Asia and the palaces of the Middle East, now reinterpreted by Christophe Raynaud with his own elegance; the composition opens with a golden peach and warm saffron, like a sweet burst of the Orient; the heart beats to the rhythm of an opulent, pulpy, slightly powdery rose; then comes the material: a dense base where caramel blends with a textured oud, softened by vanilla and smoky woods.
